phs-geography-columns

Date: 2026-09-10. Status: implemented.

Decision. Six columns carry the health board, HSCP and council area code PHS assigned to each data zone, one set per data-zone vintage.

Reason. The within-geography bands are only valid against the geography PHS computed them in, which differs from the directory's 2019 code on a few records.

Evidence. 8 records differ for 2011 zones; 35 (HB) and 86 (HSCP, CA) for 2001 zones. PHS codes are identical across editions of the same vintage.
